WOCA Natural Soap Grey for grey-finished wooden floors

WOCA Natural Soap Grey is a concentrated, nourishing floor soap for the regular care of grey-oiled, grey-soaped and other suitable grey-finished interior wooden surfaces.

The soap contains conditioning coconut and soya fats together with grey pigments. During mopping, surface dirt is removed and a thin, breathable soap layer remains on the wood. This layer conditions the surface and helps improve its resistance to dirt and moisture.

The grey pigments support and refresh the floor’s existing grey appearance. Shake the container thoroughly before and during use to ensure that the pigments remain evenly distributed throughout the soap.

Which floors are suitable for Natural Soap Grey?

WOCA Natural Soap Grey is primarily suitable for:

• Grey-oiled wooden floors

• Grey-soaped wooden floors

• Wooden surfaces with a comparable grey finish

• Floors, furniture and panels that may be maintained with a grey-pigmented soap according to the manufacturer

Do not use Natural Soap Grey on natural, white or dark-oiled wood without testing it first. The grey pigment may change the existing colour of the surface.

To maintain a naturally oiled floor without adding a grey tint, use WOCA Natural Soap Natural.

Natural Soap Grey or Eco Multi Cleaner?

WOCA Natural Soap removes surface dirt while applying a conditioning soap layer. Within the WocaStore maintenance plan, this soap is primarily used for periodic nourishment, protection and preservation of the grey appearance.

Use Eco Multi Cleaner for normal weekly cleaning and for removing everyday dirt, grease and signs of use.

The products are best combined as follows:

• Eco Multi Cleaner: for normal weekly cleaning

• WOCA Natural Soap Grey: approximately once every one or two months for additional care and protection

• Suitable maintenance oil: periodically to restore the oil finish

Mixing ratio for regular maintenance

Shake the container very thoroughly before and during use. The grey pigment may settle at the bottom and must be completely mixed into the soap.

For normal maintenance, mix approximately:

• 1 part WOCA Natural Soap Grey with 40 parts lukewarm water

• For the first maintenance treatment, a mixing ratio of approximately 1:20 may be used

Do not use more soap than necessary. Overdosing may cause a thick soap film, streaks, differences in sheen or local accumulation of grey pigment.

How to apply WOCA Natural Soap Grey

Step 1 – Test the colour

Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first.

Allow the test area to dry completely and then check whether the grey colour matches the existing floor finish.

Step 2 – Remove loose dirt

Vacuum or sweep the floor thoroughly. Remove sand, dust and other loose dirt before mopping.

Step 3 – Use two buckets

We recommend using:

• One bucket containing the prepared soap solution

• One bucket containing clean water for rinsing the mop

This prevents collected dirt from being spread back across the floor.

Step 4 – Use the correct mop

Apply the soap solution with the special mop from the Opti Set or another mop that can be wrung out thoroughly.

Wet the mop and wring it out carefully. The floor should be treated with as little moisture as possible and must not become soaking wet.

Step 5 – Mop evenly

Work in the direction of the wood grain and distribute the soap solution thinly and evenly.

Avoid puddles and local overdosing. Uneven application may cause colour differences because the soap contains grey pigments.

Step 6 – Allow the floor to dry

Allow the floor to air-dry completely before subjecting it to intensive use.

Assess the colour result only after the surface has dried completely.

Prevent an excessive soap or pigment layer

Using too much Natural Soap Grey or applying it too frequently may cause soap and pigment to accumulate on the surface.

This can result in:

• Streaks

• Differences in sheen

• Local grey discolouration

• Visible sliding or walking marks

• A sticky or difficult-to-clean surface

Always use the recommended dosage and alternate treatments with normal cleaning using Eco Multi Cleaner.

If a thick or uneven layer has already developed, clean the floor thoroughly with WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner before carrying out another maintenance treatment.

Additional WocaStore maintenance plan

Based on many years of practical experience, WocaStore has developed its own maintenance plan. This plan differs in certain respects from manufacturers’ general maintenance recommendations.

The recommended sequence is:

1. Thorough initial cleaning when required

Use WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner when old contamination, grease and accumulated maintenance layers must first be removed completely.

Allow the floor to dry completely before applying new oil protection.

2. Restore the oil protection

Use a maintenance oil that matches the colour and system of the existing grey finish.

Do not automatically use Natural or White when the floor was originally finished with a special grey oil. Always check which oil was originally used.

3. Periodically nourish with Natural Soap Grey

Use WOCA Natural Soap Grey approximately once every one or two months for additional nourishment, protection and support of the grey colour.

4. Carry out normal weekly cleaning

Use Eco Multi Cleaner for normal weekly cleaning, or more frequently when necessary.

This removes everyday dirt and grease before contamination can accumulate between the conditioning maintenance layers.
