WOCA Maintenance Oil Natural for oiled wooden floors
WOCA Maintenance Oil Natural is designed for the periodic care and re-oiling of oxidatively oiled wooden floors. The oil nourishes the wood, renews the existing oil protection and refreshes the natural, warm appearance of the surface.
Use the Natural version on naturally oiled, dark or warm-toned wooden floors. Use WOCA Maintenance Oil White on white or lightly oiled floors.
The required maintenance frequency depends on the amount of use and visible wear. In an average home, re-oiling may be required once or twice a year. Treat the floor when the wood starts to look dry, dull or becomes more difficult to clean.

Coverage: approximately 35–45 m² per litre
Preparing the floor
Vacuum the floor thoroughly and remove all loose sand and dirt. Deep-clean the floor with WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner to remove dirt, grease and old soap residue.
Mix approximately 125 ml WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner with 2.5 litres of water. Clean the floor according to the instructions and allow it to dry for at least 7–8 hours. The floor must be completely clean and dry before applying the maintenance oil.
Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first. The product, room and floor temperature should be between 15 and 35°C during application. Ensure good ventilation.
Applying WOCA Maintenance Oil
Shake or stir the container thoroughly before and during use.
Apply approximately 100 ml of maintenance oil per 4 m² in a thin, even layer using the special Opti Set, a suitable short-pile oil roller or a floor-polishing machine.
Polish the oil carefully into the wood using a white or beige polishing pad. Continue polishing until the wood appears saturated and the surface has a uniform appearance.
Remove all excess oil with clean, dry cotton cloths. No wet oil should remain on the surface. Complete the floor in manageable sections.
Additional WocaStore maintenance plan
In addition to the product instructions above, we recommend following our own WocaStore maintenance plan. This plan was developed from many years of practical experience with cleaning, caring for and re-oiling oiled wooden floors. It differs in certain respects from the manufacturer’s general maintenance advice.
For long-lasting protection and a well-maintained floor, we recommend:
-
Apply the maintenance oil using the special Opti Set and carefully buff the oil into the wood using the corresponding beige and red polishing pads, as described in our maintenance plan.
-
Treat the floor with WOCA Natural Soap every one to two months. This leaves a thin, nourishing soap layer on the surface.
-
Damp-mop the floor weekly, or as often as required, with Eco Multi Cleaner to effectively remove dirt and signs of everyday use.

Manual or machine application
Small areas can be treated manually using the Opti Set and a suitable polishing pad.
For larger areas, we recommend using a single-disc floor-polishing machine with a white or beige pad. Check the required pad size for the machine before ordering. Many professional polishing machines use 16-inch pads.
Drying and use
A machine-polished floor is pre-hardened after approximately 4 hours and may then be used with care.
A manually polished floor can normally be used carefully after 24–48 hours. Do not clean the floor or expose it to water during the first 3 days, while the oil is curing.
Cleaning and periodic maintenance
Remove dust and sand regularly using a vacuum cleaner or soft floor wiper.
For normal weekly cleaning, we recommend Eco Multi Cleaner. WOCA Natural Soap can be used periodically when an additional nourishing soap layer is desired. Avoid excessive soap use, as old soap residue must be removed thoroughly before applying a new coat of maintenance oil.
Always clean the floor with WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner before applying a new coat of maintenance oil.
