WOCA Maintenance Oil White for white-oiled wooden floors

WOCA Maintenance Oil White is designed for the periodic care and refreshing of white-oiled wooden floors. The maintenance oil nourishes the wood, strengthens the existing oil protection and helps preserve the floor’s light, white-oiled appearance.

The white pigments refresh the existing white finish and help prevent the wood from developing an overly yellow or warm appearance over time. Use this version only on floors previously treated with white oil. For natural or dark oiled floors, use WOCA Maintenance Oil Natural.

Depending on the level of use and wear, the floor can be treated with maintenance oil once or twice a year.

Preparing the floor

Vacuum the floor thoroughly and remove all loose sand, dust and dirt. Then clean the floor thoroughly with WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner to remove dirt, grease and old soap residue.

Mix approximately 125 ml WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner with 2.5 litres of water. Clean the floor according to the product instructions and allow it to dry for at least 7–8 hours. The floor must be completely clean and dry before applying the maintenance oil.

If in doubt, test the product on an inconspicuous area first. Check that the colour result matches the existing white finish. The temperature of the product, room and floor should be between 15°C and 35°C during application. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Applying WOCA Maintenance Oil White

Shake and stir the container very thoroughly before and during use. The white pigments may settle at the bottom and must be completely mixed into the oil.

Apply approximately 100 ml of maintenance oil per 4 m² in a thin and even layer using the special Opti Set, a suitable short-pile oil roller or a floor-polishing machine.

Carefully work the oil into the wood using a white or beige polishing pad. Continue polishing until the wood appears saturated and the surface has an even colour.

Remove all excess oil with clean, dry cotton cloths. No wet oil should remain on the surface. Work in manageable sections to prevent differences in colour and sheen.

Additional WocaStore maintenance plan

Based on many years of practical experience, WocaStore has developed its own maintenance plan. This plan differs in certain respects from the manufacturer’s general maintenance recommendations.

• Apply the maintenance oil using the special Opti Set.

• Carefully work the oil into the floor using the recommended beige and red polishing pads.

• Use WOCA Natural Soap approximately once every one or two months for additional floor care.

• Damp-mop the floor weekly, or as often as required, using Eco Multi Cleaner for normal cleaning.

• Use WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner whenever thorough cleaning is required and always before applying a new layer of maintenance oil.

Manual or machine application

WOCA Maintenance Oil White can be applied manually using the Opti Set or mechanically using a suitable floor-polishing machine.

When using a machine, select pads that are suitable for that particular machine. Many professional floor-polishing machines use 16-inch pads, but always check the correct pad size before ordering.

Drying and aftercare

After machine application, the floor can normally be walked on carefully after approximately four hours. When applied manually, allow a longer drying period of approximately 24–48 hours.

Protect the floor against water and dirt while it is drying. Do not clean the floor with water during the first three days, allowing the oil sufficient time to cure. Ensure good ventilation during and after application.

No separate finishing treatment is required when the maintenance oil has been applied evenly and all excess oil has been thoroughly removed.

Regular maintenance

Regularly remove sand, dust and loose dirt with a soft broom, vacuum cleaner or dust cloth. Use Eco Multi Cleaner for normal damp cleaning.

WOCA Natural Soap can be used periodically for additional care. When the floor begins to look dull, dry or locally worn, another thin layer of WOCA Maintenance Oil White can be applied.

Before every new oil treatment, clean the floor thoroughly with a suitable intensive cleaner and allow it to dry completely.

Important safety information

Oil-soaked cloths, pads and other materials may cause fire through spontaneous combustion. Immediately spread used materials out to dry completely outdoors or store them submerged in water inside a tightly sealed metal container.
