WOCA Wood Stain Remover for oiled wooden floors
WOCA Wood Stain Remover is a ready-to-use stain remover for the local treatment of stains on untreated, soaped, oiled and waxed interior wooden surfaces.
The stain remover is designed to remove sudden stains, including grease, blood, coffee and tea. It is sprayed directly onto the stain, making it easy to use on a specific affected area.
WOCA Wood Stain Remover is supplied in a convenient 250 ml spray bottle.
Suitable for different wooden surfaces
WOCA Wood Stain Remover can be used on:
-
Oiled wooden floors
-
Soap-treated wooden floors
-
Waxed wooden surfaces
-
Untreated wood
-
Interior wooden furniture and worktops
-
Local stains caused by grease, blood, coffee and tea
Always test the product on an inconspicuous area first. The stain remover may remove not only the stain but also part of the existing oil, wax or soap protection.
Help prevent persistent dirt and stains
Remove spilled liquids and dirt as quickly as possible. The longer a stain is allowed to penetrate the wood, the more difficult it may become to remove completely.
Use Eco Multi Cleaner for normal weekly cleaning of the floor. This regularly removes dirt, grease and signs of everyday use and helps prevent contamination from building up over time.
Please note that regular cleaning cannot prevent every sudden or deeply absorbed stain. WOCA Wood Stain Remover therefore remains a useful addition for treating local problem areas.
How to use WOCA Wood Stain Remover
Step 1 – Test the surface
Before use, test WOCA Wood Stain Remover on a small, inconspicuous area.
After drying, check that the product has not caused unwanted discolouration, damage or deterioration of the existing finish.
Step 2 – Remove excess dirt
Carefully absorb spilled liquids or remove loose residue with a clean cloth. Do not rub a fresh stain further across the surface.
Step 3 – Apply the stain remover
Spray WOCA Wood Stain Remover directly and evenly onto the stain.
Allow the product to work for approximately 15–20 minutes, giving it sufficient time to dissolve the stain.
Do not allow the treated area to dry completely during this period.
Step 4 – Treat the stain carefully
Gently scrub the stain with a soft brush or clean cloth until the contamination has dissolved.
When treating wooden floors, work in the direction of the wood grain wherever possible. Do not use a hard metal brush or aggressive abrasive material.
Step 5 – Wipe the surface
Wipe the treated area with a clean cloth that has been thoroughly wrung out in lukewarm water.
Repeat the treatment if necessary. Several careful treatments are safer than one highly aggressive treatment.
Step 6 – Allow the wood to dry
Allow the treated surface to dry completely. Assess the result only after the wood has dried, as wet wood may temporarily appear darker.
Restore the local protection
After removing the stain, the original protective layer may have been reduced or completely removed from the treated area.
Once the wood is completely dry, restore the treated section with the same type of product originally used to finish the surface:
-
Use a suitable maintenance oil on an oiled surface
-
Use Natural Soap on a soap-treated surface
-
Use a suitable maintenance wax on a waxed surface
Test the finishing treatment on an inconspicuous area first. Be aware that differences in colour or sheen may occur between the repaired area and the rest of the floor.
Not suitable for every type of stain
WOCA Wood Stain Remover is intended for common local stains such as grease, blood, coffee and tea.
For blue-black marks in oak caused by a reaction between tannic acid, moisture or metal, use a dedicated tannin spot remover. These marks require a different treatment from ordinary surface contamination.
If you are unsure about the cause of a stain, do not apply several different products over one another. Ask for advice first.
