WOCA Exterior Oil White for decking, garden furniture and exterior wood
WOCA Exterior Oil White is a water-based exterior wood oil for wooden decking, garden furniture, cladding, log cabins and other outdoor wood. Its white pigment gives the wood a light, fresh appearance and helps reduce natural discolouration caused by sunlight.
The final colour depends on the wood species, its original colour, absorption and the number of coats applied. Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before treating the entire surface.

What finish does Exterior Oil White provide?
Exterior Oil White contains white pigment and is intended to give exterior wood a lighter, whitish appearance. On pale wood, the result is usually soft and natural. The colour contrast may be more noticeable on darker or strongly coloured wood.
This is not an opaque paint: the natural grain and character of the wood remain visible. To make sure the colour suits your wood and the desired result, first apply a small test area and assess it after the oil has dried completely.

Do not use an unsuitable low-quality roller or brush. The application tools have a significant effect on distribution, coating thickness and the final appearance.
Preparing the exterior wood
The wood must be completely clean, dry and free from grease, dirt, algae and loose remnants of previous finishes.
Clean new and previously treated wood with WOCA Exterior Cleaner. For heavily soiled, greyed or weathered wood, use WOCA Deep Cleaner.
Allow the wood to dry for at least 24 hours after cleaning. Its moisture content must not exceed 17% during application. Carefully remove raised wood fibres with 120-grit sandpaper if necessary.
Untreated, non-impregnated softwood may require treatment with WOCA Exterior Wood Primer. Do not use this primer on red cedar or larch.
Applying WOCA Exterior Oil White
Stir the oil very thoroughly before and during use to distribute the white pigment evenly.
Only apply the oil in dry weather and at a temperature of at least 13°C. Avoid direct sunlight and very high temperatures.
Apply an even, thin coat with a suitable roller or brush. Treat the end grain first. The oil has a creamy appearance during application. The final white colour becomes visible as the water evaporates.
Remove all surplus oil with clean cotton cloths within five minutes. Pay particular attention to grooves, joints, corners and other areas where oil may collect. Do not leave a thick or wet layer of oil on the wood.
If the wood has not absorbed the oil evenly or certain areas do not appear sufficiently saturated, touch them up with another very thin application. Always perform a test application first to check the colour, adhesion and absorption.
Professional tip
Once dry, buff the surface with a white polishing pad. This helps distribute the oil evenly and produces a smoother, more uniform and compact finish.
A suitable single-disc polishing machine with a white pad may be used for larger surfaces.
Drying and curing time
At approximately 20°C, the oil normally requires 24–48 hours to cure. The precise drying time depends on temperature, humidity, weather conditions, wood species and the amount applied.
Protect the treated wood against rain and all other contact with water during this period.
Maintaining WOCA Exterior Oil White
Clean the wood with WOCA Exterior Cleaner whenever necessary. Apply another thin coat of WOCA Exterior Oil White when the colour or protection begins to diminish.
For normal maintenance, the existing finish usually does not need to be removed completely. Loose, damaged or severely weathered wood fibres must be cleaned and lightly sanded where necessary before applying a maintenance coat.
